MANGKAGANGI ISLAND in BUENAVISTA, SURIGAO DEL SUR

Bath Island, also known as Mangkagangi Island, is located just two miles east of Tandag, according to the Department of Tourism. The enchanting white sand beach, caves filled with rice paddies and bats inside provide a unique experience for all adventure seekers. Just a few meters from the island are deep blue waters ideal for snorkeling.   Until a few years ago, Mangka Gangi Island was just a view from afar, and it was so dangerous that neither tourists nor locals wanted to go there. Because there is always high tide and no low tide, only the upper part of the island is visible. People are also afraid to go to the island because the old people tell their children folk tales about Aswang, Maligno and evil spirits living on the island. But over time, fishermen penetrated into the island and realized how beautiful it was.
